Raquel Meyers uses a special hardware interface to display her own teletext graphics. Visitors can browse it with the remote control, just like normal teletext.
The first part is an Electronic Workshop directory, which gives an overview of people, projects and machines.
The second part shows some of Raquel’s earlier teletext works, which has been shown at Transmediale, the International Teletext Art Festival, alt_cph and Art Hack Day.
Teletext is text-based and as such it is more related to ASCII art than pixel art. A majority of the graphics are created “by hand” without using any conversion software.
