2SLEEP1 is a 66-minute playlist of a/v performances in text mode, designed for sleep. By Raquel Meyers and Goto80. Both the music interface and the graphics are built up from text symbols. This means that the (graphical) objects can work together with the (musical) instructions, on a visual level.

The second edition of FILE GAMES RIO happens from April 12 to May 08, 2011, at Oi Futuro Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro, and presents games and art works that reflect the game culture in different areas of electronic arts: video-installations, videoperformances, animations and machinimas, besides electronic games developed for different platforms. These go from installations in which the avatar is the very body, console games, cell phones, iPads and computers, showing the diversity of electronic games. As well as in the previous edition, and as a feature of FILE GAMES, the games are created by artists and developers of independent games.

FILE ANIMATION
FILE Games 2011 opens a new category that links the art of animation to videogame. Starting from the environments and elements of games, the game animator creates new scripts, sometimes putting in contradiction the very game narrative, removing its functionality and transforming it into a new experience. The transdisciplinarity of these experiences, performed in 8-bit, 2D, 3D, 4D and stopmotion, give an outlook of the diversity and potentiality of these animations, and at the same time enlarge the understanding of games as a language that expresses contemporaneity.
